Certificate IV in Ageing Support

National Institute of Education and Technology (NIET Group)

Provide care for ageing citizens with a Certificate IV in Ageing Support. This course teaches students to undertake specialised tasks in aged care services.

Students will learn to support independence and empower older people, coordinate health services for older people, and provide support to people living with dementia.

Elective units provide the opportunity to learn additional skills including coordinating home support, providing food services, and provide care to people with complex needs.

We provide a number of study options that enable students to enrol and learn either On-Campus or via Distance.

Regardless of study mode selected, all courses at NIET are built around a robust digital learning platform, with access to rich multimedia learning resources, and online assessment submission.

Trainers are made available to provide tutoring and assistance, and NIET also offer interactive webinars and workshops to help facilitate your learning success.

Students are required to attend 120 hours of work placement in aged care hour or community care facilities.

Career Outcomes

Graduates of this course will be qualified to work in the Health Industry, and may find work as Personal Care Assistants, Aged Care Workers, Care Supervisors, and Care Team Leaders.
