The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Marketing is developed and awarded by the University of Stirling, UK.

Marketing is at the centre of what businesses do. It helps organisations work out how they can identify and satisfy customer needs using strategic thinking, business acumen and carefully designed communications. In a digital age of 24/7 connectivity, students need to be prepared for the rapidly shifting landscape of marketing, while still exploring the timeless truths that have always underpinned the discipline. Students will comprehend how appropriate marketing strategies with a digital focus are developed within a changing environment to meet various business, marketing and stakeholder demands, as well as the use of relevant communication and information technologies for application in business and marketing.

The BA (Hons) Marketing is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the digital focus of the course allows our students to gain the CIM Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing.

Programme Objective

The programme aims to develop:

A critical understanding of business and marketing from both academic and practitioner perspectives;

An in-depth and balanced comprehension of the theoretical foundations of marketing alongside current and emerging practitioner applications, including marketing decisions, consumer behavior and market research methods; and

A critical understanding of the impact of sustainability, stakeholder management, ethics and risk management on marketing decisions and performance.

للطلاب من الولايات المتحدة

Students must have three GCE 'A' Level passes or minimum of 3 H2 level subjects with a pass or above. Advanced 1 – 16 Modules: An RMIT approved non-business diploma from any of the local polytechnics. Advanced 2 – 12 Modules: An RMIT approved relevant business diploma from SIM or any of the local polytechnics. Other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the university. English Language Requirements: Applicants who have not achieved a minimum of C or better in General Paper at AS/H1 Level or Knowledge and Inquiry at H2 must provide evidence of at least ONE of the following: IELTS (Academic) - 6.5 (no band less than 6.0); TOEFL - Paper-Based = 580 (TWE 4.5); TOEFL - internet-Based Test (iBT) = 92, with minimum of 20 in all sections; Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE(A) = 58 (no communication band less than 50); Cambridge English: (Advanced CAE) (up to 2014) = 58 with no less than 'borderline' in each skill; Cambridge English: (Advanced CAE) 2015 onwards: 176 with no less than 169 in any component; RMIT English Worldwide (REW) Advanced Plus or equivalent; Successful completion of a recognized approved Diploma qualification or higher, where the language of instruction was English. Have successfully studied Singapore Cambridge 'A' levels at a Singaporean high school for at least 2 years and met the academic entry criteria of 3 A/H2 level passes. Other equivalent qualifications approved by RMIT will be considered.

English Proficiency Requirement

Students must have acceptable level of competency in English Language and meet one of the following in addition to an approved diploma:

Minimum C6 pass in English as First Language at GCE ‘O’ Level; or

TOEFL 567 (paper-based) or 87 (iBT) with Reading 22, Writing 21, Listening 21, Speaking 23; or

IELTS 6.0 overall (no band less than 5.5); or

Successful completion of a recognized approved Diploma, where the language of instruction was English
