This Drama, Theatre and Performance BA is suitable for individuals who are interested in performing, but also those who are interested in writing, directing and technical theatre.You will study through a combination of practice-based and theoretical research and training. Subject-specific skills in acting, performance, directing, devising, playwriting, technical theatre, and musical theatre are all available areas for you to follow. Within these subject-specific areas of study, you will also have the opportunity to showcase your talents in live productions throughout your three years of study.Our focus is on contemporary practice, developing new work and experimenting and being innovative with technology in the process of staging performance. You can study optional modules in film, media, journalism, and music that will contribute and support towards your artistic and creative development. Further optional modules in business management, marketing, education, and psychology will ensure that you are also equipped in many complementary areas of practice.This course offers flexibility and choices. We ensure everyone can nurture their own creativity, skills, and talent while they study here. You will be part of a professional-led community of makers, directors, and practitioners within the department of music and drama, and we'll ensure that you are equipped for the professional industry upon graduation.‘Placement Year’ and 'International Experience Year’ options are available for this course. You will have the opportunity to fully consider these options when you have started your course at Bangor and can make an application for a transfer onto such a pathway at the appropriate time.
