If you do not currently meet the entry requirements to study one of our Masters programmes, the Graduate Certificate in Business is designed to build your knowledge and skills to bridge this gap. Upon successfully completing the course and subject to specific requirements, you will be able to join one of our range of Masters programmes with a detailed understanding of how business works.

What will I study?

The Graduate Certificate in Business consists of two modules that will prepare you for the transition into our Masters programmes. These modules are designed to build your skills, knowledge and the confidence needed to study successfully at a postgraduate level.

You can expect to participate in highly interactive lectures and seminars to help you understand how to apply the theory into practice and we use a range of materials and case studies to support your learning throughout the course.

How will I be taught and assessed?

• Teaching is delivered through lectures, seminars and workshops totalling 10 hours per week
• You’re expected to engage in independent study, around 33 hours per week
• Assessments take place through a mix of assignments, exams and a presentation.
• Taught by experienced lecturers and academics who use their industry experience to demonstrate how theories translate into real-life situations.
• Technology-enhanced learning is embedded throughout the course to guide your preparation for seminars and independent research
• Benefit from weekly academic support sessions designed to build your ability and confidence as an academic learner
