Please note that due to COVID-19, this course will initially be delivered via a blended learning approach, which may include face-to-face learning in the classroom, remote learning off-campus and digital learning. When delivery is taking place on-campus, there will be reduced student numbers and physical distancing measures in place.
This programme will enable students to learn and practice all of the skills needed to kick-start a career in photography. Learning from knowledgeable, experienced and award-winning staff, candidates will learn all of the practical and theoretical skills needed to begin working towards a successful career in photography, with a particular focus on digital skills.
Based at Forth Valley College's Stirling Campus, in a stunning riverside setting, students will have all of the guidance and inspiration they will need to learn photography and image manipulation techniques for the digital age. Students will be expected to enhance their theoretical and contextual understanding of photography and presentation skills. Participants will create a portfolio of their work across social, corporate, documentary photography and photo-journalism and will gain skills working with photographic studio flash equipment.
