Upon completion, students will be able to • Demonstrate knowledge of the overall operation of an automotive transmission and differential • Identify the basic electrical circuits and diagnose automotive electrical systems • Apply the basic principles of physics as they work in the automotive industry

Admission to De Anza College is open to anyone, subject to the residency requirements below, who can show one of the following:
High school diploma
High school equivalency certificate (GED)
Proficiency certificate
Evidence of being at least 18 and able to benefit from instruction offered by De Anza
A minimum score on any of the following examinations is required for admission
TOEFL - 61 iBT or TOEFL PBT 46 or higher
IELTS - 6.0
Pearson PTE Academic - 45
