Through the generosity of Pastor Alfred W. Jorgensen, a former lecturer in the Avondale Seminary at Avondale, a trust fund has been established to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to ministry and theology students at Avondale. Applicants must be able to demonstrate eligibility on the basis of need. Up to two (2) scholarships may be awarded.
ELIGIBILITY This scholarship is open to:
any third year student applying for, or currently enrolled in, the Bachelor of Ministry & Theology degree; OR
any second year student enrolled in the concurrent Graduate Diploma of Ministry & Theology; AND
who intends to enter the preaching ministry of the SDA Church; AND
is a baptised member of the SDA Church;
this scholarship may be held in conjunction with an Avondale Scholarship
Scholarship Applications close on 31 January [or July 15 for students starting their study program in second semester]
Applications will be processed in early March and the scholarship awarded during March. If you have not already done so, please complete a general application form for admission into Avondale. Scholarships will only be awarded to those students who have applied and been admitted to Avondale.
