Study the molecular events controlling the growth and development of cells and organisms in all living things. In this major, you'll develop an advanced understanding of the chemical basis of life and its relevance to research and development in areas like medicine, proteomics, genomics, bioinformatics, biotechnology and genetic engineering. Learn how molecular events can go wrong in certain diseased states and how this contributes to the development of new drugs.
