Deakin’s Bachelor of Design (Architecture) is a path of discovery, exploring the creative possibilities of architectural design and its potential to make a positive impact on the built environment. Discover architectural ideas through cutting-edge content and develop your creativity. Gain a practical understanding of the built environment and its relationship with the community through meaningful and sustainable design, from houses to high-rise projects. You will gain practical skills studying real-world projects in a studio environment, developing your ability to generate, analyse and communicate your ideas. Current Year 12 students (2024)*

Year 12 graduates (2023 and 2022)*

* Includes Victorian, interstate, International Baccalaureate (IB) and New Zealand school leavers.

To be considered for an undergraduate course, you need to meet Deakins entry and course-specific requirements, as well as the English language minimum prerequisites.

Non-Year 12 applicants with:

higher education study

Vocational Education and Training (VET) study

work and life experience Or

completed Year 12 in 2021 or earlier.

Completion of one of the following:

2 credit points in an AQF Level 7 bachelor degree

certificate IV or higher in a related discipline

a diploma or higher in any discipline

at least 50% completion of a diploma or higher in a related discipline relevant work and life experience.

English Language Requirements:
