Our Aerospace Systems specialisation is ideal for those wishing to gain additional hands-on experiential learning in aerospace design, aerodynamics and flight data analysis.The specialisation offers the opportunity to undertake team-based projects including design and prototyping, experimentation and testing. There is a strong focus on laboratory-based work including use of the wind tunnel and flight simulation lab.Our Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Aeronautical) is ideal for students interested in using engineering skills to revolutionise the next generation of aircraft by improving flight safety, fuel efficiency, operational systems, and the environmental impact of air travel.The Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Aeronautical Engineering) is an undergraduate coursework program that will help you develop a comprehensive understanding of the design process and operation of aircraft within the Earth's atmosphere and in space. This course is accredited by Engineers Australia and other major professional engineering institutions.You will complete degree foundational core units in mathematics and computing, along with a suite of multidisciplinary project units. You will also complete stream core and specialist elective units in aeronautical engineering, and can choose to complete an optional specialisation.Additionally, you will complete elective units as needed to make up the requirements of the course from either the Engineering disciplinary pool or the shared pool. In your final year, you will complete an honours thesis in aeronautical engineering.Throughout your degree, you will undertake professional engagement activities as part of the Professional Engagement Program, including engineering work experience in the final year.
