You'll develop a deep understanding of the principles of social justice, empowerment, and social inclusion.You'll select a major in: Children, Youth and Family Criminal Justice Disability, Wellbeing and Ageing Policy, Advocacy and Research.Highlights of studying the Bachelor of Human Services Put your skills into practice with clinical placements, either at our on-campus clinics, or through our partnerships with leading organisations including Queensland Health, Queensland Government, National Youth Mental Health Foundation (headspace), and Lifeline. Integrate classroom simulated learning with hands-on clinical training under the guidance of experienced professionals. Over your second and third years, you'll complete a total of 52 days of field placement in two distinct areas such as child protection, family support, mental health, youth justice, homelessness, domestic violence, and disability. Diverse local, rural, and international placements are available. Learn from practising experts who are addressing key issues like youth mental health, parenting, and family interventions. Our staff maintain strong links with health and community sectors, as well as government and non-government organisations.
