The next breakthroughs in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases and immunopathologies will require a workforce with the skills to understand and use a range of cutting-edge techniques and technologies, to interpret medical and research data, and to translate scientific and laboratory findings into clinical practice. The Graduate Diploma in Biomedical Science (Infection and Immunity) is designed to meet the rapidly growing demand in research and the biomedical industry for graduates who are trained in state-of-the-art clinical laboratory techniques and will equip students for further study or a future a career in the biomedical sciences. Outstanding students who complete the requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Biomedical Science (Infection and Immunity) will be eligible to apply for enrolment into the Master of Biomedical Science (Infection and Immunity).

To be considered for the Study Abroad Program you need to:have completed the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor degree and submit substantiating evidence (testamur);provide evidence of written support with your supervisor at your home university and a supervisor at the University of Sydney who has agreed to supervise your research;provide a one page research proposal;have achieved a cumulative grade (across all results in your degree) of either 'Credit' or 'Good' average, or a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale, or an average grade of 'C' or better on the European ECTS grading scale (or equivalent)
