The Master of Public Health focuses on the prevention of illness and promotion of health with opportunities to develop essential knowledge and skills required for practitioners in public health - including the effective management of community health problems to improve conditions and outcomes.Students from a diverse range of medical, non-medical, academic and professional backgrounds looking for advanced postgraduate training to equip them with the skills and requirements for a career as a public health professional.The Master of Public Health is a postgraduate coursework degree that will give you the essential knowledge and skills required for practitioners in public health, including the effective management of community health problems to improve conditions and outcomes.You will complete core units covering foundational public health concepts including epidemiology, biostatistics, health promotion, research and ethics. You will also complete elective units, and you can choose to use your elective credit point allowance to complete an optional specialisation.
