This course offers a distinct choice for those wishing to train as commercial pilots or to pursue fast-paced management careers in aviation. Your first two years of the Aviation Management course provide a general introduction to business analysis, the aviation sector and technical aspects of piloting. DCU is recognised as a Registered Training Facility (RTF) by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) for the theoretical knowledge needed to acquire the Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL).

GCE: 2 GCE A Levels at Grade C + 4 GCE O Levels at Grade C, including Mathematics and English; or 2 GCE A Levels + 2 GCE AS Levels + 2 GCE O Levels at Grade C, including Mathematics and English; or 2 GCE A Levels + 1 GCE AS Level + 3 GCE O Levels at Grade C, including Mathematics and English. IB: Minimum score of 24, with at least 2 subjects at Grade 5 Higher Level and 4 subjects at Grade 4 Standard Level or above, including Mathematics and English.
