The MA sa Nua-Ghaeilge is for graduates of Modern Irish and graduates of cognate disciplines. It aims to promote and preserve the Irish language, literature and culture, and emphasise their importance for Irish society and European identity. It prepares students for a broad range of career paths, including education in Ireland and abroad, public service, editing and publishing, and further academic research. Students develop communicative, analytical and research skills throughout the programme. They will develop advanced linguistic skills in Irish and deepen their knowledge of Irish-language literature, culture and history.DURATION:1 Years 2 YearsNEXT INTAKE:20242025 September

BA with 2.1 in New Irish or equivalent, and the name and address of two referees must be provided, who would be competent to assess your intellectual capacity, as well as your maturity and enthusiasm.Suitable for those who have completed a basic degree or have been employed for some time in jobs that require significant expertise in the Irish language and literature, or for those who would like to develop their knowledge of these subjects.
