The School of Allied Health offers a two-year MSc (Professional Qualification) in Physiotherapy, Level 9 (NQAI). The programme aims to develop graduates who can synthesise theoretical and conceptual knowledge of the cardiorespiratory, neurological, and musculoskeletal systems into their physiotherapy practice. Graduates will be competent in delivering physiotherapy interventions for the effective rehabilitation and management of individuals with various conditions, and will be skilled in prescribing and monitoring interventions based on a clinically-reasoned approach following appropriate assessments and diagnoses. They will apply specialist knowledge of movement and movement dysfunction in clinical settings and use innovative, creative approaches to address evolving healthcare needs. Additionally, graduates will perform effectively and professionally within healthcare teams, adopting and facilitating a collaborative, holistic, proactive, and professional approach to healthcare practice. The programme will cultivate advanced critical thinking and reflective skills, preparing graduates to be autonomous, lifelong learners.
