The Master of Education is a taught programme at Sunway University designed to deliver a comprehensive and engaging learning experience through its immersive and face-to-face coursework mode. Designed to meet the diverse needs of education professionals, the programme replaces examinations with project-based assessments, emphasising the practical application of knowledge and skills. Offered in both full-time and part-time modes, the programme provides flexibility for students to align their studies with their personal and professional commitments. There are six learning blocks per year. For full-time students, each block consists of two courses and a research project, while for part-time students, each block consists of one course and a research project. It features three specialisations: Instructional Technology, Educational Management, and Early Childhood Education. These specialisations empower teachers, school leaders and early childhood educators with advanced expertise to address the evolving challenges in the education field.

A Bachelors Degree in Education with CGPA ≥ 2.50 or equivalent as accepted by the Academic Senate;OR A Bachelors Degree in Education with CGPA ≥ 2.00, subject to internal assessment;OR A Bachelors Degree in a non-education field with a CGPA ≥ 2.50, must undergo pre-requisite courses;OR A Bachelors Degree in a non-education field with a CGPA ≥ 2.00, subject to internal assessment, and undergo pre-requisite courses.An APEL.A Certificate (APEL T-7) (Recognition of Prior Learning).Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian government will be considered on a case-by-case basis. An APEL.A Certificate (APEL T-7) (Recognition of Prior Learning).Any other qualifications will be considered on a case-to-case basis. Specific Requirement - Students with a non-related bachelor's degree (minimum CGPA of 2.00) or without the relevant work experience have the opportunity to enroll in the programme upon the completion of a prerequisite subject.An APEL.A Certificate (APEL T-7) (Recognition of Prior Learning).Any other qualifications will be considered on a case-to-case basis.
