With the Creative Writing major you develop your storytelling skills across a range of genres. You’ll use the work you complete in class and while studying independently to produce a creative portfolio, and develop an understanding of how literature functions through analysis and essay writing. You explore style and genre, and the demands of readers, editors and publishers. You develop your skills as a writer testing your creative ideas in an environment that challenges, critiques and supports you as you go.

University Entrance or equivalent. Higher School Certificate Apply if you have: A grade of C or higher in each of three subjects of the New Zealand University Entrance, Bursaries and Scholarships (NZUEBS) examinations; or A combination of NZUEBS A, B or C grades and have completed equivalent subjects registered on the National Qualifications Framework; or At least 13 credits at Level 3 from the National Qualifications Framework in each of 3 approved subjects from the approved list You must have achieved the IB Diploma (24 points)
