The BCom/BDes conjoint gives you an advantage in business and enterprise as you develop skills to be proactive in ever-changing markets with ever-changing technologies. You can pursue your own interests in a flexible business degree offering a variety of majors. At the same time, you will learn how to research, prototype, test and implement different solutions to business problems, using real-world and imagined scenarios. Emerging and future technologies will require business nous and design savvy to apply in business. The BCom/BDes gives you the commercial and creative grounding to pursue exciting entrepreneurial careers. Design is increasing in importance for organisations of all sizes. The ability to respond to market trends and stay ahead of competitors requires companies to invest heavily in design teams. Coupled with specialist commercial knowledge developed in the BCom major of your choice, you will graduate with a multifaceted skill set applicable in, and desired by, many industries.You will learn about the key elements in ecosystems that are crucial in supporting start-up ventures and the scale-up of growth-oriented firms. You'll study alongside successful innovators and entrepreneurs, developing the skills to recognise, assess and realise opportunities. You'll also construct creative solutions to problems and take action when facing ambiguous and uncertain circumstances.
