The aim of the programme is to produce graduates who are capable of implementing and supporting cloud and server computing environments. This diploma has a high-level ICT technical base with appropriate security content and provides students with the opportunity to specialise in several areas, including cloud, voice, wireless, network infrastructure and sustainability. Graduates who have attained a Techtorium in Cloud Management in 7 Diploma will have sufficient Cloud and Server Integration skills to be employed in an entry-level role.
This programme normally requires you to have completed the New Zealand Diploma in Information Technology Technical Support (ITTS) Level 5 and the New Zealand Diploma in Systems Administration Level 6 to be eligible for this diploma. Previous work or study experience may be considered.
A cloud services engineer is responsible for the planning, provisioning, testing, administration, troubleshooting and documentation of cloud-based systems.
Cloud Engineers have the willingness and the capability to learn. You are the kind of person who is excited about new technology and envisions the future of technology. You will have good interpersonal communication and listening skills with the ability to challenge ideas.

All prospective candidates are required to have completed the Level 6 NZ Diploma in System Administration or an equivalent Level 6 qualification.
Mature applicants will be considered for a position on the programme based on their interest in a career change to computer engineering.
