**Course overview**: This course includes a foundation year - ideal if you need additional preparation or if you don't have sufficient grades to join Year 1. Biology touches all areas of our life, from the microscopic working of our cells to immune evasion strategies of bacteria. This degree draws on recent technological and theoretical advances in biosciences. You select a specific pathway, allowing you to align your degree studies to your individual interests and career aspirations.You complete a core biology-based curriculum followed by a specialist pathway which leads to one of three awards:BSc (Hons) BiologyBSc (Hons) Biology (Animal Science)BSc (Hons) Biology (Human Biology).The course and pathways have been specifically designed for those with an interest in biology and its contribution to solving global challenges. You are prepared for a broad range of careers within industrial, commercial, government and environmental settings and postgraduate study.
