The School of Chemistry is recognised globally for its research in chemical sciences and postgraduate students are the backbone of this research work. Below are some of the contributions from chemistry PhD students in recent years: Complementary Syntheses Giving Access to a Full Suite of Differentially Substituted Phthalocyanine-Porphyrin Hybrids(opens in a new window), Development of photoactive photoreactive antibodies for next generation cancer therapeutics(opens in a new window), Elucidation of iron-sensing in plant-symbiont bacteria, Developing novel magnetic resonance techniques to study functional biomolecular machines, Development of methods to resolve ligand exchange rates within a diheme thiosulfate dehydrogenase, These are only a few examples that highlight the importance of postgraduate research at UEA in changing our world.
