The course focuses on addressing contemporary challenges in developing and transitioning economies through both disciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches. Throughout the programme, you’ll be supported in developing your specialist areas of interest, with the flexibility to choose from a wide range of modules across disciplines such as economics, agricultural policy, media, environmental justice, climate change, gender, and education. A Development Work Placement is a highly recommended alternative to a traditional dissertation. This opportunity allows you to work with a relevant organisation and produce an extended analytical report based on your experience. The placement enables you to apply and reflect on the theories and concepts covered throughout your studies, while gaining valuable insights into real-world humanitarian issues, the results agenda, project management systems, and other key areas within your chosen organisation.
