PgCert in Cultural Heritage Research

This programme is designed to give you practical experience of carrying out cultural heritage research in a specialist area of your choosing. It is designed to support you if you are new to research design and management, or if you would like additional scaffolding and support whilst you undertake a specific piece of work. Cultural Heritage is all around us. It is at the centre of current political debates around identity, how we feel about our past, and who we as a country want to be on the international stage. To be part of shaping the UK’s cultural heritage landscape is a rewarding and challenging career, requiring a wide and varied range of skills and knowledge.This programme will suit early career researchers, those considering further postgraduate study, or practitioners already working within the cultural heritage sector who wish to take their work to the next level. If you are already working in heritage but need additional help to undertake a research project, we can work with you and the needs of your employer, to provide bespoke support.If you are interested in studying cultural heritage research but cannot commit to the full MSc programme then studying for a Certificate (PgCert) may be the route for you. It is designed to give you a broad and thorough grounding in the sector to pursue a variety of careers.
