Academic excellence
Applicants must be:
A self-funding student, with a strong academic background who has been offered a place on an eligible course.
A national of, or permanently domiciled in, one of these countries: Bangladesh, Cambodia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Zimbabwe.
To apply, candidates must hold a conditional firm or unconditional firm offer for either:
If an applicant holds a conditional firm offer at the time they make their scholarship application, the award can only be granted once the offer conditions have been met.
Applicant’s mode of attendance must be full-time.
Applicants must have successfully met any conditions set for entry onto the programme.
Applicants must be self-funding to receive this award, not funded by a research council, government, private enterprise, charity, or any similar organisation.
For tuition fee purposes, applicants must be classified as overseas students.
In addition to a strong personal statement submitted as part of the scholarship application process, applicants must also demonstrate strong academic potential.
Receipt of the scholarship is subject to successfully receiving a visa to study at the University in September 2026.

To apply for an Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust Scholarship, you must have received a firm offer to study on the eligible course at Manchester Metropolitan.
