International Postgraduate Merit Scholarship

UEA are offering postgraduate students, paying international fees, up to £9,000 towards their tuition fees for all eligible taught courses starting in September 2027 and January 2028.

The total scholarship you receive will be based on the country you are a national of, or domiciled in, and whether you have achieved a 2:2 (or equivalent) in your previous qualifications, or a 2:1 or above.

Country

India, Jordan, Nepal, Türkiye, European Union countries

2:1 or above: £9,000; 2:2: £8,000

Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Zimbabwe

2:1 or above: £8,000; 2:2: £7,000

Rest of the World

2:1 or above: £5,000; 2:2: £4,000

Further Criteria

This scholarship is available for our September 2027 and January 2028 entry.

This scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee discount for international students, paying international fees, joining us on Postgraduate taught programmes at UEA. Where your full time programme of study is two years in length (such as for our placement year options), the scholarship will be offered for the first year only.

The total scholarship you receive will be based on the country you are a national of, or domiciled in, and whether you have achieved a 2:2 (or equivalent) in your previous qualifications, or a 2:1 or above. Please see the table above for full details of the total scholarships available.

• Any MBBS course
• Any Integrated Masters
• MSc Occupational Therapy
• MSc Physiotherapy
• MSc Plant Genetics and Crop Improvement
• MSc Global Plant Health
