The Bachelor of Science (Mathematics and Statistics) is the only degree of its kind offered completely online in Queensland. Examining the fundamentals of theoretical and applied statistics, mathematical modelling and operations research, and computing and coding skills the degree incorporates practical methods for undertaking analysis, modelling and evidence-based, data-driven decision-making. There is currently a shortage of professional statisticians and graduates with strong quantitative knowledge and skills across a range of industries in Australia.
