Professionals with ICT skills that complement a specific career discipline are increasingly beneficial to many industry and government sectors. In this course you will learn how modern computer systems connect, operate and are programmed. You’ll learn the setup and maintenance of wired and wireless networks, the configuration and hardening of networked computers, and general programming.You’ll gain the expertise to improve the efficiency of computer networks and solve network issues – particularly those relevant to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) – and the automation and process control that underpin Internet of Things (IoT) innovations. These skills are ideal for SMEs that require agile professional staff with comprehensive discipline knowledge and network-support skills.

To apply for entry into this course, you must have met:

  • the course ATAR (Australian Tertiary Academic Rank) or equivalent recognised overseas qualification
  • ATAR - 70
  • Completion of Australian Year 12 (VCE, HSC, QCE, WACE, SACE, TCE, NTCE, ACT) with a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 70; and a scaled mark of at least 50 in English, Literature, or English as an Additional Language or Dialect.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma - 24
