This qualification will give you the knowledge and skills you need to provide care for children from birth to five years of age in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting. It is designed for people who have dreamed of working in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector. A formal work placement of 160 hours (minimum), as a part of the training, will provide you with the opportunity to develop positive and respectful relationships with children and gain hands-on experience in supporting their play and learning. TasTAFE teachers will arrange work placements and or work placement projects with childcare organisations for students.
