Kick start your mechanical career with this trade-level qualification that will get you working in the automotive industry sooner. According to the Australian Government's Job Outlook service, demand for qualified mechanics grew strongly over the past five years with around 23,000 job openings expected over the next five years. As well as developing the skills to manage a small automotive business, in this course you will discover how to service and repair the mechanical parts of motor vehicles including the engine, transmission (clutch, gear box and differential), and suspension systems (steering, brakes, wheels and tyres). Successful completion of this course will qualify you to work as an automotive mechanic or light vehicle technician, or in management roles in an automotive retail, service and repair environments.
