This program will see you develop the techniques and aptitude to carry out carpentry tasks and processes. You will learn practical skills and knowledge to undertake projects in new residential housing construction, maintenance and repair and renovations.
This course is structured to follow the building of a house, commencing with OHS, the safe use of tools and equipment then onto the units that from the base of any structure: excavation, setting out and flooring systems through to the completion of walls, doors and windows. Carpenters are the key players in domestic house construction, often the first onsite and the last to leave.
