The Diploma of Legal Studies serves as a pathway program, providing students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in the fields of legal and justice studies.Through this course, students will develop essential competencies in legal research and writing, while gaining an introductory understanding of key areas such as the Australian legal system, criminal process, family law, contract law, and legal ethics.Delivered through SCU College, the program is designed with an appreciation for diverse learning backgrounds. The curriculum incorporates embedded academic support, with additional self-access resources available to help students thrive in their studies.Graduates of the Diploma can progress into further study, using the qualification as a pathway into the Associate Degree of Law (Paralegal Studies) or the Bachelor of Legal and Justice Studies, with up to eight units of credit awarded towards these degrees
