From justice and reconciliation after mass violence to the role of the United Nations in peacekeeping and peace building, we will explore the intellectual and practical challenges of attaining peace with justice in a program that you can tailor to suit your personal interests and career aspirations.This course is suited to people who wish to make a meaningful difference in challenging and rewarding professions with the United Nations, non-government organisations, media organisations, the private sector, government departments and agencies.The Master of Social Justice (Peace and Conflict Studies) is a postgraduate coursework degree that will develop critical understanding of the roots of human rights violations and the tools and mechanisms deployed to promote and protect people.You will complete core units that offer an interdisciplinary grounding in development, peace and conflict, and human rights and stream selective units highlighting the role of peace with justice in transforming societies.You will also complete a capstone experience comprising either a dissertation, a vocational placement, or an independent research project.
