Mechanical engineers are crucial to the design and development of the complex systems, devices and machinery that will be needed to tackle global challenges of the future. These include health assistive technologies and biomedical devices, renewable energy systems, advanced manufacturing facilities and low emissions transport. To be considered for an undergraduate course, you need to meet Deakins entry and course-specific requirements, as well as the English language minimum prerequisites.

Non-Year 12 applicants with:

higher education study

Vocational Education and Training (VET) study

work and life experience Or

completed Year 12 in 2021 or earlier.

Completion of one of the following:

2 credit points in an AQF Level 7 bachelor degree

certificate IV or higher in a related discipline

a diploma or higher in any discipline

at least 50% completion of a diploma or higher in a related discipline relevant work and life experience.
