Economics helps us understand how society decides to use limited resources and shape the economy. It studies the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services in society. In class, you’ll be trained in quantitative data analysis, strategic thinking, and decision-making. You’ll take core courses in macroeconomics, microeconomics, and statistics. You also learn about Canadian economic policies and affordable housing, unemployment, inflation, inequality, monetary policy, and the role and responsibilities of the Bank of Canada, and money, financial markets, and international trade. When you graduate At the end of the program, you can graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, with a good understanding of economic theories and the analysis of economic problems and policies. and will have the knowledge and skillset to enter the workforce in a variety of areas such as finance and investing. You can also continue your studies with the Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Laurentian University.
