The Bachelor of Health Studies program focuses on the social science aspects of health and disease, and integrates social science and fundamental science concepts. Our program provides a foundation for careers in health-related care and research, community health management, and continuing education in health and social science fields.The Interdisciplinary Health Program offers education and training leading to a Bachelor of Health Studies degree. The Interdisciplinary Health Program (IHP) is a joint program between the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences in partnership with the Faculties of Arts and Science. Classes take place at the Fort Garry campus.This concentration is suitable for students interested in family social science. It provides the educational background suitable for a future career in community wellness, victim services, youth care and residential care.

Direct entry applicants are those who have not attended a post-secondary institution or have completed fewer than 24 credit hours at a recognized university or college. Direct entry applicants require the followingManitoba high school graduation including 5 full credits at the Grade 12 level in courses designated S, G or UA minimum 85 average over the following, with no less than 60 in each courseEnglish 40SApplied Mathematics 40S or Pre-Calculus Mathematics 40SOne of Biology 40S or Chemistry 40SAn academic 40S courseAdvanced entry is for applicants who have completed one year (24 credit hours) or more of studies in another faculty at the University of Manitoba or another recognized post-secondary institution.
