ماذا سوف أتعلم؟

The Plant Biotechnology program gives students an education in the sciences and advanced biotechnologies applied to the improvement, protection and uses of agricultural and horticultural crops.Plant Biotechnology uses applied biology and chemistry to develop advanced knowledge of crop plants and their pathogens. Plant Biotechnologists develop new technologies for crop improvement. The Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) in Plant Biotechnology provides students with a solid background in genetics, pathology, the physiology of plant growth, and the development of crop plants for food, feed and industrial uses. It also introduce students to the fundamentals and applications of the advanced biotechnologies currently being used in crop development industries and research.

Direct Entry Direct entry is for those who have not attended a post-secondary institution or have completed fewer than 24 credit hours at a recognized university or college. Direct entry applicants require the followingManitoba high school graduation including 5 full credits at the Grade 12 level in courses designated S, G, or UA minimum average of 70 over the following courses, with no less than 60 in each courseEnglish 40SApplied Mathematics 40S or Pre-Calculus Mathematics 40STwo academic 40S coursesAdvanced Entry Advanced entry is for applicants who have completed one year (24 credit hours) or more of studies in another faculty at the University of Manitoba or another recognized post-secondary institution.
