ماذا سوف أتعلم؟

Planning is the study of land use, resources, facilities, and services, as well as the physical, economic, and social well-being of communities. Planners help decide what gets built and where, from roads and transit to parks and housing developments. The BSc program takes a scientific approach to planning, with a focus on elements such as environmental management and the use of geographic information sciences. The Bachelor of Science with Honors is a degree program designed for students to reach in-depth training in a specific subject area and are drawn to scientific research. A research thesis project is embedded in each program and students must maintain higher academic standards than those in a BSc Major degree. Students have the option to add a minor from the Faculty of Arts, Native Studies, Business or Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences, however doing so will reduce the amount of option courses. A double major is not available in the Honors program. The Faculty of Science at the University of Alberta delivers high-quality programs that investigate, explain, and explore the real science behind issues that affect our daily lives. With 65 degree programs in 30 subject areas, we are one of the most comprehensive science faculties in Canada, with state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities, opportunities for undergraduate research, and professors who are leading researchers in their fields, or one faculty.
