Engineering is a creative and multidisciplinary endeavour that exemplifies human ingenuity at its best. Here at StFX, the history of humans and the history of engineering are one and the same, and the dedicated Engineering faculty have structured the program around that very idea. Much of the history of people is, in effect, the history of engineering, as our creative utilization of resources remains strictly interwoven with our day-to-day lives. At StFX, we have experienced faculty members who are all professional engineers and who will work with you both inside and outside of the classroom and laboratory. Our class sizes are similar to those you experienced in high school and so the transition to StFX will be uncomplicated. We believe in a collaborative atmosphere and have strong connections with other science departments and areas across campus so we all work together as a team. This results in our students being highly successful as they transition to Dalhousie to complete their studies and as they enter their careers.
