Motive power technicians will learn to test and analyze systems and vehicles in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and specifications. Students will learn to diagnose, disassemble, analyze, and properly reassemble major automotive systems and components. Students will get hands-on experience in a wide range of vehicle types from multiple manufacturers. This program will appeal to students with a good mechanical aptitude.Career OpportunitiesA wide range of opportunities exists for motive power technicians in the area of automotive service and counter sales. Motive Power Technicians are excellent candidates for many automotive service technician, truck and coach and heavy-duty technician apprenticeship positions.Upon successful completion of the program, graduates can present their college diploma to their employer and the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills.
