The School of Information Studies, located in the Faculty of Arts, offers a graduate diploma in Information Management and a Master of Information Studies (MIS).The graduate diploma program is intended both for those who have recently completed an undergraduate degree wishing to enter a career in the field of records and information management, and for those already working in the field who wish to upgrade their qualifications.Students in the program complete one compulsory course before taking an additional five elective courses to fulfill the 18 course units for the graduate diploma.

Admission to the graduate programs in Information Studies is governed by the general regulations in effect for graduate studies. Applicants to the graduate diploma program must have a four year bachelor's degree and a minimum cumulative average of 70% calculated in accordance with graduate studies guidelines.
