The Department of Immunology, the first in Canada, was founded in 1969. Since the early 1990s, its focus has been on the establishment of a multidisciplinary program in Immunology, encompassing basic and clinical biomedical scientists with expertise in a broad range of immunological topics. The Department has received international recognition for major research involving basic immunology, interdisciplinary work, translational immunology and collaboration with industry. With primary and cross-appointed faculty, a comprehensive program of graduate and postdoctoral training, and strong links with immunologically based research groups, the Department of Immunology offers extensive professional opportunities for advancement. The Ph.D. option consists of coursework and a substantial research component.Expected Duration - 4 years.
