Sunway University’s Master of Science in Applied Mathematics is an interdisciplinary field that focuses on the application of mathematics, statistics, and computational methods to intelligently model and describe the behaviour of real world’s complex systems. Mathematics is an important language for invention, innovation and idea creation. Applied mathematicians play a crucial role in many on-going dedicated efforts by individuals, organisations, businesses, and governments in tackling issues that affect the livelihood of large portions of humanity, in mitigating potential future threats to planetary health, and in protecting our earth to ensure our species’ continued existence. Sunway University’s MSc in Applied Mathematics programme equips its graduates with an innovative mindset to apply mathematical tools and knowledge to provide practical solutions to a wide spectrum of problems arising from the physical and medical sciences, engineering, technology, finance and investment, business, commerce and social sciences.

للطلاب الدوليين

A Bachelors degree in the field or related fields in mathematics, applied mathematics, engineering, computing, or actuarial science with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 or equivalent, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or A Bachelors degree in the field or related fields in mathematics, applied mathematics, engineering, computing, or actuarial science with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses as determined by the institution and meet the minimum CGPA based on (i) and (ii). An APEL.A Certificate (APEL T-7) (Recognition of Prior Learning) Any other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
