ماذا سوف أتعلم؟

Learn the skills needed to ensure business projects meet their objectives. This specialist area involves leading teams to achieve goals within identified constraints, using specific knowledge, skills, tools and techniques. Expertise in project management can be applied to any size or type of project in any business or organisation. In your first year you’ll develop a depth of business knowledge and skills required for any commercial context. This includes skills in management, leadership, accounting, marketing, HR, law, economics and sustainability, as well as knowledge of Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Then across your second and third years you’ll dive into project management, where you’ll develop the knowledge and practical skills required to successfully manage simple and complex projects in a variety of sectors. You’ll study the principles of project management, business finance, operations management, advanced project management and resource integration or business transformation and change. Additionally, you’ll channel the knowledge and skills you acquire into a practical industry project for a local business or organisation, in which you’ll address business issues or advance business opportunities. In the process, you’ll strengthen your understanding of operations and production management. The project management expertise you’ll gain on this programme aligns with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), as defined by the Project Management Institute and is an internationally recognised standard.
