Our BA/BE(Hons) helps to develop the skills you’ll need to adapt and thrive in a fast-changing, globalised economy. The five-year programme blends theoretical and practical work. You can combine one of our nine engineering specialisations with a wide range of subjects in the humanities, social sciences, cultures and languages. The unique skill set that you will gain through a BA/BE(Hons) will put you in a strong position to pursue new opportunities created by developments in society, technology and business. All our Engineering specialisations are accredited by Engineering New Zealand, making this programme a recognised qualification in many countries.As part of a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Philosophy you can study historical and contemporary debate on philosophical problems and explore those problems yourself. The study of historical traditions in philosophy provides the foundation for today's philosophical inquiry. You can study many different areas and styles of philosophy, from Plato to Buddhist philosophy.
