The MLitt is an alternative to the PhD if you already have a masters degree and want to complete a substantial research project. You can complete an MLitt in most subjects offered by the Faculty of Arts, subject to approval and availability of supervision. You can further your research interests in the same subject as your first masters degree, or undertake research in a new area. An MLitt could be useful for a range of academic or professional careers, especially if you don’t want to undertake doctoral study. Postgraduate study in French provides you with opportunities for further study in France, and lecteur/lectrice positions with the University of Paris-Sorbonne and the University of Bourgogne. We also have a student exchange agreement with the University of la Rochelle.
