The New Zealand Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massage is the entry level qualification required to start your career in the massage industry or to progress to a higher qualification. You will develop a base knowledge and develop professional skills required. This qualification is well regarded by employers in the Massage Industry.Students will learn to:Demonstrate knowledge of human functioning and apply the relevant knowledge to wellness and relaxation massage therapy practise.Apply and evaluate the effectiveness of wellness and relaxation massage therapy interventions for individual clients’ needs. Select and apply a range of professional, self-management, communication and client service knowledge and skills to meet wellness and relaxation massage therapy client and industry needs.

Students will have completed all requirements of a relevant bachelor degree or graduate diploma with at least a B grade average at Level 7 or higher.Special AdmissionNotwithstanding the above admission criteria, in exceptional circumstances, a mature aged applicant who can show evidence of ability to succeed in the programmes may be considered for admission, provided the applicant has successfully completed an approved course or programme, or has relevant work experience, which is deemed to meet the required standard for entry.English Language Requirements
