This course has a global focus, and provides an in-depth understanding of the travel and tourism industry. The qualification forms the basis for careers in the hospitality, travel and tourism sector, particularly a management career. You may specialise in a range of areas, from visitor attractions and human resources, to hospitality and resort management or marketing.**ALIGNED WITH INDUSTRY**Tutors have extensive experience in industry, from hotel management, to working for leading airlines and tour companies, including Virgin, TUI and Easyjet.**INDUSTRY RELEVANT**A comprehensive guest speaker programme includes industry professionals, from hospitality consultants to local tourism entrepreneurs.**WORK EXPERIENCE**You will have the opportunity to take part in a work experience placement relating to your preferred area of industry – from shadowing managers in hotels, events, or travel agencies.**EXPERIENCE OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM**Students have previously benefited from a European trip - subsidised by the University Centre - to find out more about the latest travel and tourism industry trends at first-hand. In addition, trips are organised throughout each academic year to support with their studies.
