You’ll focus on the topics which intrigue you. And you'll also create a toolkit of essential academic skills. We provide a supportive and rewarding learning environment. You'll study with dedicated lecturers from UEA’s Interdisciplinary Institute for the Humanities. You’ll explore a wide range of academic subjects related to Media, including Film, Literature, History, Philosophy and Politics. We’ll help you make connections between different disciplines to spark your curiosity. We'll also encourage you to work towards your own individual learning goals. On your Media Studies Foundation Year, you’ll have access to all the opportunities and resources that UEA has to offer. This includes our brilliant in-house media facilities so you can hone your practical communication skills. As you develop your own academic passions, you’ll then be well-placed to progress onto the degree that’s best for you. After successfully completing your Foundation Year, you can move onto the BA Media Studies degree. Alternatively, you can request to transfer to another undergraduate course within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Use the Foundation Year to springboard onto the degree of your choice.
