Applied Statistics (Biostatistics) is an important branch of statistics that concerns the use of statistical principles and methodologies to study issues and phenomena emerging in the fields of the natural and social sciences in order to infer and extrapolate from natural objects of interest . This discipline utilizes applications of mathematical statistical probability theory, methodology, and computational methods investigate, control, and explain, and analyze biometric data in order to break new grounds in medicine and biology.In biological sciences and pharmaceutics, applied statistics are a critical element in determining whether experiment design, quality standards, production verification and manufacturing process for new drug development are appropriate and optimal. These are critically important tools for evaluating the efficacy of drugs prior to commercialization, from conducting clinical trials and evaluating drug efficacy.As such, there is a growing demand for different levels of applied statisticians in academic medical centers, in government agencies, and in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.In concordance with the wider academic development strategy, our Wisdom Lake Academy of Pharmacy has set up this programme, powered by the superior discipline and premium educational resources at the University of Liverpool, to provide greater support for biological medicine professionals and future biotech enterprises.
